Darwyne Lang  is President of B.Comm Financial Group of Companies and a 27-year veteran of the insurance industry.  He has been a strong proponent of providing innovative and creative solutions for the challenges faced in today’s business world.  Darwyne was one of the founding members and partner at a full-service insurance brokerage.  With the help of his leadership, the company grew to just under 200 employees and drove more than $100 million in annual insurance premium.
 

In 2003, Darwyne sold his shares in the business and purchased a well-known and established MGA.  Two years later, the company underwent a major restructure and was renamed B.Comm Financial MGA Inc. which was the start of the B.Comm Financial Group of Companies.

Darwyne enjoys interacting with his clients and continues to actively service and develop his own retail practice under B.Comm Financial Insurance Solutions Inc. which he started in 2007.
   
Creative benefit plan designs and ground-breaking programs lead to a positive relationship with his clients. Considered to be an expert in working with groups from 10 to over 3,000, Darwyne is well seasoned at providing highly specialized advice and expertise.   He is successful at partnering with clients, as well as their other professional service providers,  which helps to maximize the value that he brings to the table.


 

B.Comm Financial Insurance Solutions Inc.


Margaret Reid  is Vice President of Employee Benefits and has been in the Employee Benefit industry for over 30 years.  She started her career at a major insurance company,and during her 20 years with them, she gained extensive knowledge of employee benefits.  Starting in claims adjudication, she then went on to client administration and then became a Service Representative, visiting clients and ensuring their service needs were met.  From there, she moved to group sales and was responsible for working with a team of consultants and brokers to bring in new clients.

In 1999 she left to join a full-service insurance brokerage as Manager of Employee Benefits, where she and her staff of 3 looked after the service and support for their 300 group clients.

In July of 2007 she joined Darwyne Lang as Vice President and Partner of B.Comm Financial Insurance Solutions Inc. Together they have grown the Insurance Solutions division of the B.Comm Group of Companies by bringing in financial consultants and support staff, who have developed their own expertise in this industry.

Gail Dunfield is Executive Vice President and partner of B.Comm Financial Benefits Consulting Inc. specializing in consulting on Employee Benefits on a national basis.  Gail provides strategic consulting advice to employers and brokers to help them better understand all aspects of benefit programs.

Gail has worked in the Employee Benefit field for more than 30  years.  She started her career with a national insurance company in management, before leaving to join a national consulting firm.  In her various roles on a national consulting basis,  Gail was responsible for the direct management of large national accounts, as well as leading a team of consultants in Western Canada.  In addition to her consulting skills, Gail develops strong working relationships with clients, brokers, and suppliers.

George Dunfield is Executive Vice President and partner of B.Comm Financial Benefits Consulting Inc.  His responsibilities include the acquisition of new clients and the maintenance of in-force clients, who have engaged B.Comm Benefits to work with them to manage their benefits program.  
 
George has worked in the Employee Benefit field for more than 30 years.  He has become accomplished at understanding and meeting his client’s needs on a local and international basis.  He has been a frequent industry speaker including presentations to the Annual General Meetings of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting, and The Independent Financial Brokers.  Prior to joining B.Comm Benefits, George enjoyed long business relationships with both Great-West  Life and PPI Financial Group.

David Wright is Executive Vice President and a senior member of the firm’s client service and distribution team.  David  operates out of the Toronto office with primary responsibility for managing and meeting client expectations, as it relates to design and ongoing oversight of  company sponsored retirement programs.

David brings to his role over 26 years of investment and client service experience having spent the last 18 years as a Managing Director  for UBS Global Asset Management responsible for a  $6 billion wholesale/third party distribution platform specifically servicing the retirement market.  Prior to 1992, David was responsible for business development and client service at both Royal Bank Investment Management and Aetna Capital Management. David began his investment career in the early 1980’s as a financial advisor with Burns Fry Limited.
